A wearer of many hats.
The shorthand is "certified bodybuilding specialist." The long form is a man who drives a truck for a living, found his door inside a confined space, and has been trying to hand that door to other men ever since.
Every hat I actually wear.
Ten-hour cab. The classroom where most of this thinking happens.
The first cert. More in progress, on purpose.
The reason the window matters.
The first audience for every promise made.
Coaching is half the books you have read about people, not muscles.
The newest hat. The one I am building toward full-time.
Before any of this, I was — I am — a truck driver. The cab is a thinking room with a steering wheel. Ten hours of asphalt and a podcast and a thermos. There is no glamour to it. There is, if you let it be, an honest measure of a day's work, which is something most jobs do not offer anymore.
I bring that up first because the truck is not background. It is part of how I coach. When I tell a working dad I know what a ten-hour shift does to a man's nervous system, I am not theorizing. I am quoting Tuesday.
I have said this on calls and I will say it here, because it is the line that everything after it depends on: I was free in the most confined of spaces.I came out of a stretch in prison in the best physical shape of my life. The hour on the yard belonged to me. The iron did not lie. Something rebuilt that the building could not touch.
The decision was not "I want to be a personal trainer." That came later, with paperwork. The decision was simpler and harder: what I had just found was the thing I wanted to give to other people. Not a body. A door, in an hour, in a life that did not seem to have either.
Bodybuilding specialist was the first certification. I am stacking more, on purpose, so I can serve a more diverse range of demographics honestly — not by nodding and taking the money, but by actually knowing the work. That is what intentionality means inside a coaching practice. The credentials are a promise that I have done the reading.
Between certifications I drive. The truck pays for the next book, the next cert, the next domain registration. Eventually the truck stops and the coaching is the whole thing. I am writing about the build because it is honest, and because you should know who you are paying.
One sentence: I help working dads age 25 to 55 build strength, energy, and a body that lasts, inside the ninety-minute window between work and the kids. The method has three parts. Read the window honestly. Bank strength before chasing hypertrophy. Make the check-ins about you, not about a template.
That is the whole thing. Everything in the Acts page is an expression of it.
I refuse to overreach. I will not operate outside of my boundaries. If you need a sports performance specialist, a physical therapist, a clinical dietician, I will tell you and I will hand you to someone who can do the job. Referrals are key.
I refuse to sell a physique archetype. Healthy at every size is a building block. The goal is the man you are becoming for the people who rely on you, not a magazine cover.
I refuse to fake the attention. If I cannot remember your daughter's name on the third call, I have too many clients. The roster stays small on purpose.
"The thing most people are surprised by is the workload."
Two careers braided together. One pays. The other is the one I am giving the rest of my life to. You are not buying a side hustle. You are buying the practice I am building on purpose.
